U11's/12s Teams Needed

RGC are looking for North Wales Clubs, age groups U11's – U12’s to attend Eirias Park on Saturday 8th April, to engage in the Pre Match Guard of Honour & Half Time Games‎ for the fixtures RGC vs. Ebbw Vale RFC at Eirias Park. This fixture represents RGC’s next fixture in the Principality Premiership campaign where RGC will be looking to finish in the Top 4 of the new formation of 8 teams to qualify for the Semi-Finals. This is the next home fixture following the fantastic result that RFC gained in the Semi Final of the WRU National Cup, and it’s a game that will be played live on S4C.

RGC are looking for a further 6 teams of 10 players‎ for each game to take part on a first come first serve basis.

Teams will arrive at Eirias Park through GATE B 1.30pm to meet with a WRU / RGC Representative. When arriving it is advised that Guard of Honour teams arrive through the main Leisure Centre Entrance using the school car park, before walking to Gate B. If the weather isn’t great, please wait with players in the Main Leisure Centre. Please be aware that any teams arriving earlier than 1.30pm may be stopped at the gate and asked to wait until the time, due to Health and Safety requirements.

The itinerary for the RGC vs. Ebbw Vale RFC game is broken down below;

1.15pm – 1.30pm ‎ Gate B to meet children/parents and walk to Barn, other parents to be directed to ticket offices for tickets (One parent and one child allowed in free)

1.30pm – 1.40pm ‎ Meet in Barn for welcome (Club Coaches & RGC Players to discuss format / split into groups)

All Pre-Match Engagement festivals for RGC this year will be aligned with the WRU’s Half A Game initiative, so only teams at the relevant age groups signed up for half a game will be accepted.

Children will be allocated free entry, plus 1 free adult to accompany. All other adults attending will be asked to pay on entry (At the ticket office located near the All-weather pitch and by the Skate park on entry to Eirias Park), U16’s are free of charge. Coaches will also have complimentary tickets for this fixture. All teams which register would need to provide at least one coach to support the delivery for the session where possible.

Anybody wishing to register a team should contact their respective Rugby Co-ordinators at the earliest convenience to avoid disappointment.
