RGC made it two wins from two with a win at the Gnoll in the Principality Premiership.
The Gogs experienced victory against Neath last year in the Cup but it was a big 30-16 league win yesterday
Afon Bagshaw claimed a brace of tries, along with Carwyn Ap Myrddin who touched down for another. The boot of Jacob Botica added the extras for RGC.
In another physical clash RGC once again answered the question about being able to make the step up in league, and the intensity in defence and attack was clear to see.
Full-back Bagshaw showed pace to score a try on the counter attack after getting turnover ball, and along with last week RGC have shown they can turn defence into attack in a spilt second.
As of last week the forwards but a huge shift in, and the scrum worked superbly again.
The coaching staff will be happy that the foundations are being set upfront, which is giving the back the chance to show their pace and attacking abiltity.
Hooker Evan Yardley came on in the 2nd half for his first appearance of the season
“It was a good win again from the boys two from two is a perfect result as far as the league is concerned. We are always striving to play better than before and we have lots to work on in training. As a group are aiming to test ourselves against the top clubs in the league and next week against Llandovery gives us a good opportunity. Personally it was good to get 20 mins under my belt after having a month out due to a finger injury, need to work on my lungs as I think they got chopped off aswell by the looks of yesterday. But we are excited to regroup train hard this week getting key areas of the game sorted ready for next week”
